Gold gem & Treasure What is gold that cannot be assayed?

I see Jonathon and Chris are looking for something to fill in an hour or two?
What is this artical about in GG&T? Where gold cannot be assayed and disapears into mercury, I know mercury attaches itself to gold and leaves all else behind but to disapear and cannot be assayed is another story. Has any one one got any ideas??????
