Fossil, yes I'm still running my 2200sd, with the coiltek lithium battery system, and a DOC's Deetac amp, Blackwidow headphones. The only mode is one I did myself, I put a switch on the handle for ground balancing, like the 3500's have, just a momentary switch wired into the GB switch, that way I can run in fixed, and if it gets to bad, I just hold the switch down and reground balance it. other than that its just a stock 12 year old 2200. But if it gets over gold, it gets gold. Knowing your detector is the secret, not the machine. I hunt with guys that are running GPX's, 3000's and 3500's, and I still get more gold than they do! Because I know my detector inside out. Grubstake

You can get one from ROB Allisons forum, or Doc's Yank Assie forum, from DOC. They just amplify the sound on the 2200 or a GP, run of of the detector battery, and plugs inline with the power cable. $100.00 if I remember right. Just go to www.nuggethunting.com and look in his online store, or ask him in a post. Grubstake

Well its my opion, that since he was running a mono, he was not getting the same depth and sens. I was, but he's hard headed. My uncle and I tried to tell him you need a DD up there, because of the mineralized red clay. We have 2200's and he has a 3000, I think he though or thinks he can use a mono with his set up, but mono's will drive our 2200's crazy and mask all the nugget sounds. I use what produces gold for me. Everyone has there own style of detecting, my gets me the gold, so it must be right for my machine. Grubstake

I love it, when this one wears out, I'll just keep replacing them. Best coil I have ever used, got and found more gold than any other coil I have used, and I have tried all brands, they all have good and bad points, but this one is all good. Grubstake
About three years ago, I requested that Coiltek make a waterproof, ten inch open web coil. They said they had no plans of doing it. I am glad to see they changed their mind and that it works so well. This will be my next coil, Thanks for the feed back Grubstake. Take Care, CH
