Howdy from the Couer d' Alenes!

It was a beautiful weekend in the forested mountains of North Idaho; dark green pines set against a background of deep blue skies, with the sound of a cool gurgling creek in the distance... with surroundings like these, it sure makes it difficult to stay focused on what your threshold is up to. Nevertheless, I was able to concentrate long enough to zero in on a couple of bits - 0.4 grams and 0.6 grams for a whopping total of ONE gram. blink.gif But that's allright; I'll take it as a sign of things to come; I just started gridding a section of Forest Service roadway that cuts through virgin ancient wash gravels when I found them. They were about seven feet apart and each was ~ seven inches deep. After that it was time to head home for another work week at my real job. mad.gif So you can guess where I'll be NEXT weekend!!!

Yo Reno

Yeah, I know. The forum is doing strange things lately - somehow it posted duplicates of my last two topics. Weird.

Hey Wirechief

It's nice to meet you too: thanks for the kudos. At Allwest I work in the soils lab, conducting various tests on various materials used in the construction of roadways, building pads, etc. It's a dirty job laugh.gif but somebody's gotta do it!
It's seasonal work, so they let me off for 5 months out of the year; then I get to go play in the desert southwest beepin' for gold - again, a dirty job but sombody's gotta do it! smile.gif

Best of luck
