hi bob
the discrimination on the xterra is excellent on iron in the prospecting mode
& the auto track is comparable to the eureka gold
its a killer on gold jewelry cool.gif

Hi Walt,

There's areas up here around Prescott that should have nuggets, but they are so trashy it is virtually impossible to hunt with the GPX. After 100+ years of mining activity most of the gullies are loaded with old cans, nails, wire, you name it! I often wondered how a machine like the XT-70 would cope with the rubbish. The gold should be shallow enough to hit providing the iron disc feature can eliminate those big ferrous 'screamers'...It just might be worth a try.

Congrats on the new nuggets, and good luck this weekend! smile.gif

Hi Walt and thanks for the nice report on your finds with the X70! The Xterra 70 is truly a great all around machine. Ok Walt I hope you keep on finding those little beauties.

Chris I have a x-terra 70 with 5x10 coil and have not found any gold yet with it. It blanks out on iron targets. Tin is a must dig item I have noticed that doe not disciminate out. Those who hunt Ganes crk I have heard like the whites mxt because it IDs metal quicker than the 70. The 70 is slow to settle down after running across a peice of metal.

hi 1goldsniper
the xterra is slow to settle down in auto track but if you run manual ground balance its much faster to respond &
has a bit snappier signal
good hunting cool.gif
