I recently made a trip to the desert for a couple of days to explore some new country with Montana. I have never detected the desert in the summer and got a real education! We covered a ton of beautiful country but the gold was playing hard to get. I did manage to get a couple towards the end of the trip.

Bob also mentioned that the chiggars usually show up this time of year. My legs now look like they took a load of quail shot!

I had a great time Bob! You know where to head if it gets too hot down there for ya!

Hi Aaron,

Good to hear you guys had fun trip and some success. Way to go on the new nugs!!! smile.gif

Those chiggers can be nasty. I haven't bumped into many up this way, but with last week's rain there are just enough puddles around to bring out the mozzies. My last detecting trip probably cost me a pint of blood! tongue.gif Hope to catch up with you on your next trip down...

Aaron. The day you left we got an inch of rain in 20 minutes. It was quite a downpour with some nickel size hail mixed in . That would have been miserable if we would have gotten caught in something like that with a 7 mile quad ride ahead of us. It was fun as usual . It has turned really hot now, with my last trip ending at 106 degrees and skunked to boot. Betsy convinced me to stay home under the AC for a few days and remodel the computer room. The nasty carpeting is gone and it's all repainted. She can't call it the dungeon anymore.----Bob

Thanks Guys!

Chris- Did you ever get any of those 14x7 coil covers for the old fiberglass coils? I look forward to hooking up this fall for a little beeping!

Bob- You sure are a a fixer upper! I guess your going to need a chicken house fan to keep the smoke out of there now. Just kidding!
