  1. I will take you up on that offer! I will collect some hot rocks from the Rich Hill area in the next month or so for you to work with. This will be very interesting! I will collect both VLF and PI specimans. Bunk
  2. Real sorry I could not make this trip. I am glad everyone had a good time! As for me, I am still trying to get my truck back on the road. Its a nightmare I can't seem to wake up from.
  3. Thanks Mitchel! And no, still waiting on my truck.
  4. I got my first seated coin today, an 1890 something dime. Also another V-Nickel in real bad shape.
  5. I been trying to pass the time while I am waiting for my truck to be fixed. In pretty bad shape 1902 V Nickel. CTX 3030 6" coil.
  6. Yep, its true, I will not be able to make it to Gold Basin due to major truck trouble. A note to Alison owners, you do not want to buy one of these, trust me! Again sorry I can not make it. Bunk

  8. I think this is my best find so far at this site! I just love history!
  9. Up date, Well my truck lost the transmission. Its in the shop and I should have it back the first of the week, what a way to start the season! Still planning on being there as soon as I can. I will get some kind of map posted by tomarrow. For the folks that have not been there, they haul jet fuel to the heliport so the road is wide and well traveled. Where you turn off Greg's Hideout, there are a couple of signs, one for the GPAA and the other for the MPA. If I am able to get up there early, I will put an AZO sign up. It is still going to be warm enough that the snakes could still be out and about so if you have snake gaiters, I would wear them! I will also get a link posted with the weather forecast. I look forward to seeing you all! Them beans are going to be really good!
  10. I am getting a rough count of about 15-20. As it is looking now, I will probably be there Fri sometime. I was planning on being there a little early but I am having truck issues. I will try to get a map posted asap. Looks like the weather is going to be nice with highs in the low 80's and lows in the 50's. For those that have not been to Gold Basin, you should count on some "slight breezes", the wind always blows at Gold Basin! I do want to remind folks that you must be a member to hunt club claims! Frank and I hold a claim up that is available to those that are not a member of any of the local clubs.

    My Pocket Watch Find

That's a great find! I always have to think about the guy that dropped it!

    peace dollar

She gets quarters and dimes pretty regular, this is the first time she has come home with a silver dollar.
  13. Teri got this at the store yesterday. 1923 Peace dollar. Hard to believe someone would buy a pack of smokes with it! She says she don't need no detector, I have to agree.
  14. Looks like we have a great group started! Shep, my dog is really going to miss ya, I told him you eat a steak with a bone every night! I am sure we will hook up sometime this winter. To all that are going to make it, make sure to bring some fire wood. I was a little worried that it might be a little warm but the long range forecast is starting to look better. I hear that some of the washes did run a little this summer and that always makes things interesting at Gold Basin. See you all there!
