  1. Hey Gary, I know Rob's has changed a bit-at least for looks for now. If you had automatic signin, just click on box, and your handle should show up, same on your password... And you should be good to go... Gary/Largo
  2. RE: I already declared Dean Bado the winner in error but it was my fault, so Dean will receive a knife. And Tom H. will also receive a Schrade knife because he actually had the winning number. Tom send me your address so I can get your knife off today. Doc You are a good man, Doc. But of course we already knew that! Gary
  3. Wow, you guys and gals , Nuggetfinder has truly come a very long way since the hand finished coils I still have and use in my kit of Nuggetfinders... four of the the hand laid, and I think two of the more advanced coils. One of which, now that I come to think of it, I can't seem to find for the family portrait.. I'll have to put a new one of these fine coils on the backburner, as I have been spending too much $$ outfitting the wife's new r.v.... she owns everything, except my bb gun and my metal detectors... and I think she might have her eye on the bb gun too. Got to get off here...too friggin slow to type on this forum...still buggy for some reason. Have a good day Largo

That reverse swastika is the key. Most likely native American craftsman... Gary
  5. Hi Gus, Hey those are some pretty gnarly looking nuggets! I guess I need to dust off my detectors and hit the hills! Hope all is well with you and yours! Largo
  6. Hi Alex, Using a coil of a large dimension, can be problematic. If you are in a windy area, you have to deal with fighting the wind continuously. Unless you have an open web coil. Then you must consider the area where you will be detecting, lots of bushes, etc will I be able to swing my coil easily there? Weight of coil, how long will I be able to handle the weight? Then, most importantly, will I be able to retrieve the target at depth? Deep hole are a bugger to dig, regardless of the soil/rock type. The deeper the target, the wider the hole will need to be at the top, in order that you will be able to reach inward toward your target. I detected a target that was just a whisper, with a 12x16 inch Nuggetfinder elliptical coil. The hole I dug turned out to be at least 36" deep. The target turned out to be a galvanized pipe elbow, in what I KNEW was untouched ground, or so I thought... I give up. I always have issues typing on this forum. Horribly slow... Sorry.., Gary
  7. Hi Chris and family, I hope you and yours will enjoy a Happy Thanksgiving! Gary

    Get Well Soon

Get better quick, Walt! Gary/Boise, Idaho
  9. Wow, that is some tiny stuff, Goldrivermike! Apparently, you do have an "ear" for tiny gold! Way to go! Gary
  10. You are right about the GP 3000 being an excellent detector for small gold. If I had my druthers, looking back, I would sure have kept my GP 3000, as when I started finding small gold with a 16 inch mono coil, I said "we don't need Gold Bug 2's any more". Of course you have to have a well tuned ear, because the audio doesn't really hit really hard, but a waver in audio can be meaningful and can be profitable. Keep up the good work! Gary
  11. Hi Chris, Most Happy Birthday to you! I hope your yen for your new side by side will be fulfilled! Looking for a ride sometime, Gary/Largo
  12. Hi Chris, I am curious about the recharge time for the "c" batteries? Probably not as fast as the li-on batteries of the GPX? Still issues with typing messages here... Thanks! Gary
  13. When I click on the "Like This" option of a post, I always get a notice that I have reached my votes for the day quota, where I have made none probably ever or very few, and likely never have done many "like this" except on Facebook... I just got this when I clicked on to make this new post... to wit: Warning: Illegal string offset 'mid' in /home/arizonao/public_html/admin/applications/forums/sources/classes/post/classPostForms.php on line 841 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/arizonao/public_html/admin/applications/forums/sources/classes/post/classPostForms.php:841) in /home/arizonao/public_html/admin/sources/classes/output/formats/html/htmlOutput.php on line 114 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/arizonao/public_html/admin/applications/forums/sources/classes/post/classPostForms.php:841) in /home/arizonao/public_html/admin/sources/classes/output/formats/html/htmlOutput.php on line 127 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/arizonao/public_html/admin/applications/forums/sources/classes/post/classPostForms.php:841) in /home/arizonao/public_html/admin/sources/classes/output/formats/html/htmlOutput.php on line 136 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/arizonao/public_html/admin/applications/forums/sources/classes/post/classPostForms.php:841) in /home/arizonao/public_html/admin/sources/classes/output/formats/html/htmlOutput.php on line 137 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/arizonao/public_html/admin/applications/forums/sources/classes/post/classPostForms.php:841) in /home/arizonao/public_html/admin/sources/classes/output/formats/html/htmlOutput.php on line 141 ****************************************************************************************************************** What's going on here?
