  1. Chris R U "CRAZY" Didn't your Mother ever tell you that people that explore dark caves shouldn't throw rocks a wooden or metal boxes???? Brother, You Had My Hart Skipping A Few Beats There. Although I probably would have done the same "CRAZY" thing if presented with the same situation. However Chris - I don't own AZO Prospecting & Supplies and if that metal box went "Klaboom" I really doubt that anybody here would really honestly miss me as much as they would be missing you and your Great Arizona Outback Prospecting & Supply Business. Chris, you have built a very "Solid and Honest" business and your "Reputation" to say the least is "Impeccable" within the Prospecting World. Please my Brother, be more careful in the future when discovering hidden boxes that are lurking inside dark caves and throwing rocks at them. Also, I suspect that your Wife & Daughter will sleep a little better at night knowing that you'll be more cautious in the future. Hey - Sorry About Sounding Like A Parent - But You And I have Been Doing Business For Almost 6-7 Years Now and you have always been my "Number-One Go To Person/Supplier" when it comes to buying and accumulating everything that's related to "PROSPECTING." And still after all these years I have not been able to meet with you "Face to Face" and "Shake The Hand Of The Man" that has been my "Number-One" supporter and supplier of my life's fantastic journey to Discover and Find that once in a lifetime "Gold Nugget." So please Chris, I'm not asking much, just be safe out there so I can one day finally meet you "Face to Face" and "Shake The Hand Of The Man" that has made my Prospection Adventures in the AZO so "Enjoyable" and so "Very,Very Fun." Until That Day My Brother - Stay Safe - And My The Gold Fairies Always Watch Over And Protect In All Of Your Prospecting Adventures.

    Saying Goodbye

Chris, so very sorry for the passing of “Noodle.” I truly believe that you have to be a Dog Loving Person & Family to truly understand what a loss of a “Best Friend & Side Kick” entails. Dogs give soooo much and only ask for soooo little in return; foremost Love & Praise, A good Meal and a warm or cool place to lie down after a hard day of prospecting with “HIS” Best Friend & Family. I will leave you with these words that all my Family & Friends tell me when they speak about the Love and Devotion between myself and my Bubber – Gunner. For I truly believe that the same feelings are a testament to the relationship between you, your family and Noodle that you all shared together. "When I Pass On As A Person, I Really Want To Come Back As A DOG And Live With You, Because I Know That As A DOG, I Am Already Living In Doggie Heaven." Peace My Friend And My Condolences To You And Your Family.... Kevin, Sheryl & Gunner...

    Her first Gold!

Way to gooooo Hailey - Now you officially have "GOLD FEVER." Good luck in all your future nugget hunts and may "The Gold Gods" always bless you yellow in your "POKE."
  5. Looks like I am going to have to start saving my "Pennies" so I can afford to buy one of this "High Tech Nugget Grabbers."
  6. Chris, great video and nice to see that a Third-World Country and its people are prospering from a company like MineLab. It really "Frost My You Know What" when I hear that China is still the NUMBER-1 country still allowing their people/business to Knock-Off other companies products. Don't know if I ever told you, but several years ago I invented and developed a product here in the USA that did very well (Google - SPRINKLER Key-Hider) that went Global within 4-years. I can't began to tell you how much money I spent on attorney fees going after China and US Companies doing business with China that started Knocking my product/invention off for the sake of corporate profits. However, I was one of a few lucky inventors here in the United States at the time that were approached by a reputable US Company after 4-years of R&D and profitable sales and was brought out at a very respectable price. Hey - How do you think I was able to afford to get into prospecting and spend what I have spent shopping at Arizona Outback???? "JUST KIDDING" Anyways, enough of my rambling about China. Please keep posting these videos as we all enjoy being informed and educated as to what is going on around the world with Gold Prospecting - God Bless You My Friend - Kevin.
  7. Matt, I quoted 10 years on the possible age of the tailing pile due to the fact that I have been prospecting in this area for over 10-years and have walked by the tailings through-out all of these years. But, according to some of the older prospectors that have been prospecting in and around the same area that the tailing pile is located. Have informed me that they believe that the tailing pile is much older, as much as 20 years or more. So you are right, it is probably a lot older that I am giving it credit for. Especially for the amount of gold that I have pulled out of it thus far. Thus far, meaning that there are still a lot of tailings left to recover and run from just this one tailing pile. Now all I have to do is hope and prey that nobody else comes along and decides to start taking material from this particular pile. I have made it a point to try and cover my comings and goings from this pile as much as I possible can as so not to draw attention to it.
  8. My New Best Friend - I know that this form is mostly about Nugget Hunting via Metal Detecting. But sometime it is nice to stray from our passion and try something new and different in the way we prospect for "GOLD." A couple of months ago I saw a YouTube video regarding a Mini-Sluice-Clean-Up-Sluice from Gold Hog in which Gold Hog states that there clean-up sluice will leave no Gold left behind after the clean-up process. **Oh Where Have I Heard These Words Spoken So May Times Before By Other Companies** Well, after watching their video I was impressed as to how the clean-up process worked and how great the recovery was for retaining Gold. So yep, you got it, I placed my order and ordered up one of these babies to see for myself if the machine worked as the company guaranteed that it would. (Per God Hog this particular Clean-Up Sluice comes with a FULL 30-day money back guarantee). Well Guys & Gals, long story short - This Baby Really Rocks. I just finished running 18-Buckets of material through the"Gold Hog" Clean-Up mini-sluice yesterday and though I would share the results with all of you. The material was from a very old “Tailing Pile” I came across last year while out scouting a new area to prospect/metal detect in the Southern California Mountains. According to a couple of my close prospecting sources. The tailing pile I took the material from is approximately 10-years old if not years older. Please Note: This post is in no way an indorsement of God Hog Company or its products by me; and I have absolutely no personal or financial attachment to this company whats so ever; It's just all about sharing new things that I come across that pertain to gold prospecting with all my Nugget Shooting family & friends. Who once in a while like to deviate off the beaten path and try something a little different once in a while.
  9. "WOW" Thank's to everyone who responded. Looks like this could turn into a "HORNETS NEST" of who's on first, who's on second and who's going to third with no one head for home plate. I've been prospecting in Rich Hill - Stanton for over 8-years now and have never ran into any problems accessing club claims. I hope that this is not going to be a on going future problem with resident claim owners vs club claim owners. I for one have enjoyed not only prospecting the area of Stanton - Rich Hill, but have very much enjoyed just getting on my quad and ridding the outback and enjoying nature at her best. Just a cavieot - Being retired Law Enforcement of 20 some years and having someone approach me with a loaded firearm pointed at me or threatening to use such firearm to force me to do something without a proper "POLITE" explanation first - Could really turn out to be a very bad situation. Anyways - Again "Thank You" everyone for your responses to my inquire - And may there always be "Gold" in you pocket at the end of the day. P.S. Lets Hope & Prey That This Situation Get Remedy Real Soon Before Some Innocent Person Gets Injured Or Worse.
  10. Road Closure - Prospector's Locked Out - Decision Corner & Weaver Creek Chris can you share any additional info regarding this lock-out? Received this information in the July 2015 Roadrunner's Prospecting Club's News Letter. A problem has developed on the Rich Hill claims and I am therefore sending everyone a cautionary warning. The road where a left turn is made at “Decision Corner” on the Weaver Creek Road is now blocked with a gate with a “no trespassing” sign that the owners are en- forcing. We have had some members trying to get to our claims turned back with harsh words from the purported owners or representatives. Our members have all acted in a courte- ous fashion and therefore avoided any unpleasantness. I strongly urge all members act like- wise if confronted with type of a problem wherever it may occur. The Board is now alerted to the problem and we are looking into it to see if we have a right to continue to use the road or must find another way to those claims, if possible. I have prospected in that area for about six years and I am sure other members have prospected on those claims for many years before I first visited them. Nonetheless, we now have a problem and I do not recommend anyone at- tempt to use that road without specific permission from the purported owners. If we have le- gal rights we will assert them, but the Board does not want any harm to come to any person. After all, this is a recreational pastime even though under the law it is clearly mining protect- ed by the 1872 Mining Law. If other members have encountered problems of this nature, please let the Board know. Thanks - Kevin

    First Time's a Charm

I hope that he went directly to his local lottery retailer when he got home and brought a Lottery Ticket.
  12. I have known Chris/AZO going on over 6yrs. now. I can attest without a doubt, Chris “Rocks” - “Not Related To Chris Rock The Comedian” when it comes to customer service and customer loyalty. I have spent may $$$$$$$$ with AZO and Chris has been their for me every inch of the way with his knowledge and expertise on all of his prospecting equipment product line that he carries. And if there is a product that you need and he does not carry/stock it. I can promise you that Chris will work his Nuggets - Off to either get it for you ASAP or he will go out of his way and find a competitor that offers the product that you are looking for and insure that you will receive the best possible price. Try finding a reputable prospecting business owner these days who’s not afraid to loose Business or Money in order to help a fellow prospector purchase something that they need and the business that you are dealing with does not carry or stock - No Way Jose… I can’t tell you how many times that I have been prospecting in the AZO and needed a new piece of prospecting equipment or needed to replace a broken piece of equipment and Chris was there for me all the way. Not to mention that the piece of new or broken equipment that I needed was shipped and received within a couple of days at the most. This alone speaks volume about Chris and AZO’z commitment to Customs Service and Loyalty. Thanks You Chris – And Thank You For Always Being There For Me.
  13. "AMEN" I usually refer to California as Mexifornia to my out of state family and friends. Now I think I'll start referring to California in another term - Wacofrornia.
  14. Re: Loose Lips Sink Ships - No matter how many ships I may sink, I will never, never deny any fellow prospector(s) request for information on where he/she should prospect/explore a location where they may have at least a small chance of finding some color. I have been prospecting for over 10-years now, and can still remember when I first started how frustrated I was in the first years of not being able to find at least a small amount of color for my efforts. It seemed that the phrase "Loose Lips Sink Ships" was the "Motto" most prospectors and prospecting supply stores "Lived and Died By" back in the day. When I first started out "Back in The Early Days" this was just a hobby - "Now It's A Serious Sport" for me and a hard fought one at best. "No" I will not give up the whole location of the ship of "Gold." But I also will not turn my back on a fellow prospector; Newbies or Seasoned who ask for a "General Location" where some color might be found in an area that they are looking to do some prospecting. I have found over these years that for the most part; fellow prospectors are hard working and honest salt of the earth respectable people. people who just want to venture out into the wilderness/outback and just get away from everyday life and enjoy a hobby/sport that for the moment takes away the "stressssss" of their daily life. If I can do that for a fellow Man/Woman/Child Prospector; may day will be brighter than any "GOLD" that I would ever find. If in the greater scheme of life I put a fellow prospector onto some good color - so be it - My life's journey will be rewarded at the end of the day with a "Big Smile" and a "Good Night Sleep" knowing that I brought a little happiness and some small color into some fellow prospector's life that just required a little "Stressssss Relief." May There Always Be Yellow At The end of Your Coil.........
  15. Relax, Relax everybody - I'm just having some fun here - Just trying to "Jerk Everybody's Gold Chain." You couldn't pry my ML-5000 or GoldBug-II out of my hands if you tried. I have scored some very nice pieces and lots & lots of trash with my now outdate and useless ML-5000 & GoldBug-II. And have very much enjoyed every minute of it and plan on spending a lot more time enjoying the hunt. After all; where can you get a daily hard-physical-work-out and help clean-up the environment at the same time and feel "Great About It" at the end of the day. And hopefully put a nice piece of "Gold" in your pocket?????? Lets All Just Take A Deep Breath And Keep On Detecting/Nugget Shooting; NO MATTER WHAT TYPE OF METAL DETECTOR YOU OWN OR PREFER - Happy Hunting To All My Nugget Shooting Friends

  18. Mike - What days are you looking to go out. I have been thinking of taking a couple of days myself either sometime in March or May. FYI - I have prospected in this area for a couple of years now, mostly dry-washing. Tried a couple of times over the years with my ML-5000 & GB-II, but really got burned-out speding most of the days cleaning up lots & lots & lots of bullets and shell casing and other metal trash in and around the Coolgardy area. But after all this time fulfilling my duties as a up-standing prospector cleaning-up the environment, I finally did score two pickers that were just at a Gram - All-In-All any time you get a chance to go "Nugget Hunting" no matter the environment your hunting in; Trash or "Yellow Fever Medicine" it's a Great Day. Anyways, I have been wanting to go further out towards Randsburg-Ridgercrest "Last Chance Canyon" area and try my luck. I have a close and personal friends who has taught me more about prospecting/metal detecting- Nugget Hunting than I could have possible learned alone in my life time who has shown me some really nice specimens that he has taken out of Last Chance Canyon - Randsburg. Let me know when you are planing on going - I'll check back on this post in a couple of day - If our days match up, I be happy to meet up with you and see who can find the "BIGGEST NUGGET."
  19. Hey Fellow Nugget Hunters - Thinking about going to " Q " sometime in April or May for about 5-Days ( Thursday - Monday) to do some Nugget Hunting. Anybody up for a "OUTING" and having a fun weekend while the weather is still "COOL." Thinking of meeting up at "Dome Rock Area" or if anyone has a better area to suggest around the " Q " that could work that would be O.K. Lets Get Er Done.....
  20. Crack Addict – Somewhere In The Arizona Outback - AZO It’s official. I am a “Crack Addict.” Never though I would admit it, but “Hunting” for “Crack” in the AZO can be very rewarding if not down right addicting. And to say the least, this type of “Crack” can leave you with a “Really Gooood High” at the end of the day. P.S. Thank You Very Much Chris For My New Prospecting Toy - "Royal Gas-Vac." If you "Guys" are looking to get the "Gold" from "CRACK" you really need to buy one of these from "CHRIS." They Really Do "SUCK" The "GOLD."
