  1. I honestly don't know that much about it, but it is an old-school modified Gold Bug 2 by a guy in Chino, CA. I don't think he does these anymore. There is lots of technical data and instructional audio cassettes, pictures and narrative included. I have heard that some people swear that his work vastly improved the detector and others were turned off by the added complexity. He was reportedly an electrical engineer for one of the detector companies. I have read references to these detectors on the bulletin boards over the years and I am downsizing my collection and getting ready for a trip this summer.
