    Freshly Dug Desert Gold!

Social distancing at its very best!! Way to go, beautiful bunch of nuggets.
  6. DON’T GO DOWN THERE!! Hard to believe that I was dumb enough to go sampling in old shafts. I found a few specimens but took way to many chances.
  7. OK. I’ll give it a slow start. A bit hard to find pictures. No cell phone cameras and oh yes no cell phones either. Here I’m setting up to test my new (home built) dry washer in the mountains east of San Diego. Machine worked fine, found gold and had fun.
  8. Aaaahhh the good old days when we were young, skinny and the nuggets were easier to find. Great pictures Rob and Chris sure fun to look, at thank you both. I may scan some on my old pictures and post them.
  9. Looks like double trouble and you both still look like kids to me. Keep on having fun.
  10. That’s a pretty rough Nugget to trash ratio you have going there. . Good looking gold.

congratulations and thanks for the pictures
  17. Makes me wish I still had my GPX!
  18. PLEASE REMEMBER THESE MEN AND THEIR FAMILIES. Six years ago they lost their lives protecting others by fighting the Yarnell hill fire. Chris Gholson, AZO/Minelab donated a detector and organized a raffle to benefit the families. I thank him and all those who contributed.

    Backyard Surprise!

When I was a kid in Arizona we called them red racers. They are non-venomous. As a kid I got bitten by one that I grabbed too far behind the head. They are very quick.

    Backyard Surprise!

A thank you to everyone for posting the pictures. Give a look but give them their space. This old Arizona guy lets them alone but I won’t share a camp with um.

  23. El Camino del Diablo — a dirt road that cuts through 130 miles of saguaro-studded desert between Yuma and Ajo, Ariz. along the US-Mexico border. This picture is of the grave of Dave O'Neill, a prospector who died along the trail in 1916.
