a future hunt

Recommended Posts

In about six to eight weeks i am going to have the chance to detect the footprint of a 100 year old barn,it used to be part of the headquarters of the sheridan heights ranch all the houses have been torn down the corrals and calving sheds are long gone, now that the DEQ owns the land they sold the barn and it is going to be moved to a new location . The DEQ gave my the ok to come on down and see what i can find.the barn has to be moved by june but they need to move it through our fields before the ground thaws so i hope they will move it by the end of march.

They had big barn dances in the 1910's 20's&30's in the top floor of the barn and who knows what else, but since i have huunted all the other old buildings that were there this upcoming hunt should prove interesting. Here are some photos of the barn, they are just now starting to get the barn ready to be lifted and readied for the wheeled carriers i can't wait to see whats under the floor .post-36463-0-43875400-1390855225_thumb.jpgpost-36463-0-82544600-1390855256_thumb.jpg
