staying cool

Recommended Posts

Got out to the wyo side of the black hills last weekend was going do some metal detecting with my gb pro but this creek was nothing like i have deteced before it was just one big hot rock this creek was so full of black heavy sands and magnitite and hemitite rocks that it put me at a complete loss as to how i would hear gold targets,so we packed the dredge down to the creek and stayed cool in the water instead the temps were mid 90's and kind of humid for up here.

You could look anywere on the creek bottom and just grab handfulls of heavys, this was a new channel as floods over the last two years have changed the course of the creek, not alot of big gold here but a real aboundance of small course gold.

Even the iron stone rocks had patchs of pyrite stuck all over them and would look like gold patchs all concentrated up and shining in the sunlight.post-36463-0-02741200-1406929879_thumb.jpgpost-36463-0-07355700-1406929958_thumb.jpgpost-36463-0-80392000-1406930030_thumb.jpgpost-36463-0-69536800-1406930206_thumb.jpgpost-36463-0-77858300-1406930521_thumb.jpgpost-36463-0-58255500-1406930632_thumb.jpg
