My GPX 4000 is in the shop getting a new on/ off switch

so, I went out with my trusty and very dusty Gold Bug 2

with my "big 10 inch" coil and swung over this quartz

44 gram specimen. I haven't done the weight in water yet so,

I am not sure how much gold it contains.

This was found in a small mound of quartz rocks. I got a hit which sounded like a 22 bullet but this time it was a rock covered in dirt. I didn't see gold until I washed it with a soft brush and water at home. The gold goes all the way through.

Sure would be nice if you found the vein/pocket where it was originally!!!
