Norm 16 Report post Posted December 29, 2015 Shep, did you do a specific gravity test on it? It felt like it had a lot more than I could see. Norm
Shep 5 Report post Posted December 29, 2015 Norm, did 3 different tests; 7/8 oz, 1.13, and 1.5 oz. ? I don't know??

Mike Furness 26 Report post Posted December 29, 2015 Shep ... Great find ... congrats! I saw that Steve posted a couple of pics on FB ... the finished 'Cab' he posted is absolutely gorgeous (not a word I usually use but in this case ....) and will make beautiful one of a kind pendant or broach. The Shep magic continues and lives on through the majesty of ElDorado's artistry crafting rocks into jewelry! Mike F
Norm 16 Report post Posted December 30, 2015 Shep's rock has some very white quartz. Steve will make it into something that will be a one of a kind beauty. A very nice find! Specific gravity tests are sometimes very misleading. The one in the picture was done by three different people and all came up with the same calculation, A minus amount of gold!
