Terry Soloman 25 Report post Posted April 19, 2016 Went to Kingston, NY yesterday, about 100-miles upstate to a farm first settled in the late 1600s. The current farmer allowed us to hunt in several fields that have already given up Spanish Reales from the 1700s, Colonial copper coins, silver, and even a rare Revolutionary War New York Militia belt buckle! We hunted from 930am till almost 4pm. I was up against a Minelab Explorer; Garrett AT Pro; and a Whites DFX. My Tesoro Vaquero performed really well, and although nothing of real note was found (some musketballs, a Shield Nickel, some Indian Heads, and a few toasted coppers), I scored a dated "V" nickel (1899), and my first intact 1800's pewter sleigh bell.
