Fun day in the field

Recommended Posts

I had the pleasure of getting together with some really great folks this past weekend. Brian and his family came to Arizona to pick up some equipment and spend the day going through one of our metal detecting field classes. Brian who works as a geologist in South Dakota has prospected before, but never really spent time with a detector out in the desert goldfields. His parents Bob & Mary decided to come along to try their hand at detecting as well. The storm clouds rolled in on us around 10:00 and within a few minutes we were soaked! Luckily the rain moved fast and they were good sports about it and we detected right through it! :)

Brian snagged a nice shiny nugget with his SDC 2300, and Bob accumulated a handful of lead and various old-timer targets with his new X-Terra 705. No big monster nuggets were found that day, but they did leave with their very first Arizona gold. They were a wonderful family and I thank them for the business and for a great day out in the field. Wishing you all the best – I hope to see you all again soon!
