Rich 7 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 Hi All, What do you guys use to cover the seam between the coil and the cover. Would electrical tape be OK or is there something else that works better? Rich
FlakMagnet 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 I think vinyl (oh man where's my spell checker), tape is best, electrical tape does't last long at all. fwiw, Flak
Rich 7 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 Hi Flak, Thanks I don't think I ever noticed vinyl tape before then again never looked for it either. I imagine any hardware store would carry this. Spell checker's are over rated......... Rich
snakejim 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 There is a special coil tape. Someone around here sells it, but I don't remember who. Was about $6 a roll. RSJ

Joe Kauffman 9 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 Hey Rich, There is a white vinyl tape that is non metallic that I've picked up at Home Depot (and I'm sure places like ACE Hardware and such would have it) before and have used it on my coils and it works great! Electrical tape being non metallic as well can be a great backup in a pinch, but as Flak mentioned it's not nearly as durable as well built vinyl tape. I always have a roll of electical tape in my pack just in case though. Hope this helps! Joe Kauffman
