I LOVE the Minelab commercials! As an advertising guy, they are like watching porn. - Terry

That's too funny! Nice to know I'm not the only sick puppy on this planet.

I heard Minelab is coming out with a new 3-D commercial... Nah, I'm yankin your chain, I just wanted to make your heart skip a beat.

Riversides pretty big, so depending on where in Riverside, i would say 2-3 hrs from Santee. Being from Texas yer probably packin enough firepower to finish off most television sets :o , so i hope the show is decent tonight.

The problem with shows like this is that the mining industry doesnt need anymore bad press ! I dont have satallite tv anymore, turned it off a year ago, so I havent seen this show, but if its anything like the " Ice road truckers " series, Its nothing but twisted hollywood propaganda. Thats what sells, and makes money, for the film people. I drove truck for 25 years, and I wouldnt even bother interviewing most of the guys I saw on that show. I suppose if they issued a disclaimer at the beginning of each episode, that " successful miners, or truck drivers, dont operate like this " I could have fun watching the show also. The problem is that most naive tv veiwers will believe that all mining operations are like this one, so now they have another negative view of the industry ! However,on the positive side, it sounds like a fun show to watch. Danger, risk, adventure, gold and Alaska, It dont get no better than that !! :D Lets go ! Way better than another doctor/cop soap opera.

Well i caught the show then headed out to Quartzsite for the Pow wow, its starting to show how 8 people can fold under pressure...i'm still waiting for one of them to say "Badges?...we dont need no stinking badges!!" Like Doc said earlier its a trainwreck in the works but still funner to watch than the usual friday night lineup. Hey Doc i switched it up this week and went with Tanqueray wasnt as good, going back to 7/7s.

howdy fellow texans.i work in houston and live in bay city (outside bay city in the woods)

Maybe we Texan members of this forum should put together a trip to the Kingsland Slab when it gets a tad warmer. If you can get the gold out of the Llano River you can get gold anywhere (super fine little buggers). I have about 10 gallons of material in my garage from a trip up there 4 years ago I need to practice on.
